iFit Sabbatical

At the past 2Tues6 we approached the some of the church leadership regarding iFit. We feel that it is in the best interested to take a break. From school, to work, to family, we realize that our lives can get pretty complicated. And like all things, we go through seasons. Some are hot and some are cold as they prepare for spring again. We think that taking a break from our normal bible study and social events for the next couple of months will give people the chance to recharge. Also, the iFit leaders will be continuing to talk with the church leadership to help us grow in our capabilities and in turn further the growth of iFit.
Effective immediately, there will be no more “Official” bibles studies until restarting. However, I and several others who attended 2Tues6 will continue to meet on Tuesday nights to just get together and have a relaxing time. We may do dinners, we may play games, or pray together, who knows. There won’t be a lesson plan or anything, just a time for us to grow in friendship and community. We’ll continue to meet at the church at 7pm, however we may decide to leave to go somewhere as a group around 7:30pm.
We have not set a specific date to restart the bible studies, but we’re estimating sometime in late spring early summer. We would like to kick off the restarting with our most popular event, CAMPING!! Yay! We’ll probably restart 2or3 weeks ahead of time just so we can organize all the details, but ultimately our camping trip will be the kick off event.
This news may come as a shock to some, but please don’t be alarmed. iFit isn’t going anywhere, its just going to recharge the batteries. If you have any questions regarding this transition, please email or call me. I’ll be happy to discuss any thoughts or concerns. Also, I will continue to send out a newsletter maybe once a month or so just to keep folks informed. If you have any prayer requests, you can continue to let me know and I’ll send them out.
In regards to the Feb 20th Bowling, we’re still on. This will count as some what of a going away celebration. Please email me if you plan to attend because I need a count of people.
