Hey All,
Somerford Assisted Living and Alzheimer Care Center
Last weekend the iFit group had a wonderful opportunity to visit the Somerford center to spend time with the residence there. We sang a couple songs and played with Dean and Jessi’s cats. We really had a wonderful time. So now I post the question, is this an area that the iFit group should be continuously involved in? The iFitters that participated pretty much all agreed that this would be an excellent service project for the iFit group. Basically what this means is that every month or so the iFit group will go and spend about an hour with the residence there. The staff at the nursing home were excited to have us and welcomed us back on a regular schedule. The leaders of cornerstone have been impressed with iFit’s commitment to serve and are really excited to see what we decide.

Please be praying about this. Is this the thedirection that God wants ifit, and if so we just ask that He open the door for us.
If you have any questions, comments, or other thought regarding this iFit service project please email me. I am really interested in knowing what everyone thinks.
Weekly Devotional - Tuesday January 22
There is a weekly devotional at the cornerstone worship center at 7pm.
Bowling - Saturday January 26
The iFit group is hitting the lanes again for another bowling social. This will be the regular bowling style, not duck pin. We’ll probably do dinner too. Location and time TBD.
Special Tough Questions Devotional with Dave Maxham - Tuesday January 29
Last year, Dave Maxham made a guest appearance to iFit. He lead a “Tough Questions” devotion regarding some tough things that Christians have to face and think about. Unfortunately, we had so many questions we couldn’t answer them all. So he is coming back for round two. We’ll try to get to the ones he didn’t answer, but if you have some new ones you’d like some help with, let me know and I’ll add them to the list. special devotional will be on Tuesday January 29th at our normal meeting time 7pm.
Prayer Requests
Here are some of the things that are on the hearts and minds of the iFit members. Please keep one another in your thoughts and prayers.
-
-Justin (Tanja’s Nephew) and Debbie his Mother (tanja’s sister).
-Ed’s coworker Barry and his father. Barry’s father is really really sick and going into hospice.
-Mike’s sickness and body soreness
-Lisa’s job, she’ll no longer have a mentor beginning in 2 weeks
-iFit ministry, specifically for our service project with the Alzheimer’s retirement home. Is this the direction God wants us to go, and if so that he open all the right doors
-LeAnn’s Coworker Sharon who is going through a divorce.
Goodbye iFit message board
I’m not sure how many of you have ever taken a look at our ifit message board on the website, but they’re pretty sad. Few people have ever used them, its empty and barren. Plus with the new Cornerstone Connections church wide message board, there is now a better place to get connected with your different hobbies and activies. So, we’ve decided to take down the ifit message board because nobody uses it and it looks bad to have an empty board on the website.
