Hey all,

Weekly Devotional – Tuesday September 4
There will be a devotional at the Cornerstone Worship Center at 7pm.

Camping – September 7th and 8th
PLANS HAVE CHANGED!!!

Inestead of camping out at Green Ridge, we’ll be going Cunningham Falls. Green Ridge was primitive camping. No showers, no toilets, no nothing. You have to bring a shovel to dig a hole. So plans have changed, we’ll be going to Cunningham Falls which has bathhouses with warm showers. There will be lots of things to do like swiming, fishing, biking, Canoeing, etc and don’t forget about roasting of marsh mellows and smores… mmmm, yummy. Price will be around 5$ per person plus cost of food. Each person will be responsible for bringing their own food. Except for some common items like condiments and maybe chips and sodas. Cooking utinsils will also be supplied.

On Friday the 7th, some people will need to go down early to prepare the campsites while others will meet at Cornerstone at 6:30pm on to carpool.

We have 2 campsites reserved. Each site will hold a maximum of 6 people. As of now we have a total of 11 confirmed. There is only 1 slot available, but someone has already shown interested in filling it, so we may be full shortly.

Ministry Fair – Sunday September 9th
At cornerstone on the 9th is the ministry fair. There will be small table setup arond the church were you can get some info on the different ministries going on at cornerstone. This will be a great way to figure how to get more involved with conerstone activies. Don’t miss it!!

Team 2Tues6 – Tuesday September 11
There will be no devotional this evening because of the 2Tues6 planning meeting. We do encourage everyone to go though. Its a good time to learn more about some of the activities within the church. Also, this will be a good time to plan the next quarter’s iFit events. We need to come up with things to do for the months of October – December, so be thinking about it and bring your ideas to 2Tues6.

Prayer Requests
Here are some of the things that are on the hearts and minds of the iFit members. Please keep one another in your thoughts and prayers.

  • Cheryl’s Grandparents and Family
  • Lee Anne’s two co-workers who were diagnosed with cancer
  • Brandon’s Father
  • Doug’s Leg and continued healing

Tough Questions
Dave Maxham has offered to lead one of our devotional nights coming up. He loves to answer and talk about tough questions, like the ones we have already come up against in our weekly devotionals. For example: “Once saved, are you always saved?” or “When terrible things happen, is it because God is punishing us?” or “How is a child expendable? 2 Sam 1-25.” If you have questions on your heart, respond to this email, voice them at the devotionals, or post them on the website forums. Now is your chance to get some help to these tough questions in this very special edition of the iFit weekly devotional. Date is TBA

Doug’s Leg
I had surgery on his leg on Aug 31 and just wanted to give everyone a quick update. Everything went pretty good. I’m a little sore plus I’m still on the pain meds. The stitches kind of sting but the actual foot feels fine. I’m up and walking around but its sore so I’m kinda of slow and limping. I think it will be fine in a couple days. Good things its a 3 day weekend :-)
